Devlog #1: One Month In - New UI Look, Squashed Bugs & Steam Release Ahead!
G'day Delvers!
Hard to believe it's already been a month since I launched the Delve Down Under demo here on itch.io! A massive thank you to everyone who's jumped in, battled some Dreamtime horrors, and shared your thoughts on the demo. I’ve been absolutely thrilled with the positive feedback so far!
Your feedback has been invaluable, and I've been hard at work squashing many of the bugs you reported, making the dungeon-delving experience smoother.
I've also been busy giving the game's interface a complete makeover. I felt the game deserved a unique style that better matched its quirky, wartime Aussie setting. It was also time to shed the game’s prototype UI aesthetic and create some visual coherence between the world and the characters. So, I've personally redrawn all the UI elements and icons in a brand new pixel art style!
Check out a sneak peek of the new look:
I think this new pixel art UI brings a lot more personality and coherence to the game’s aesthetic, and I hope you'll like it too!
What's next? I’m still actively developing Delve Down Under, adding more content, and polishing the experience. My current goal is working towards releasing the demo on Steam in May! I'll keep you updated on when you can expect to see Delve Down Under on there.
Thanks again for your amazing support!
Cheers,
Will @Viking Roo
