This game is excellent! A lot of potential here to expand into a larger experience IMO. Perhaps with a branching-path-esque map like slay the spire to choose from a variety of encounter types?
and Cheapshot+ is definitely OP haha.
Thanks for positive feedback and for playing the game :) I'm a huge fan of StS and their map system, and have tried designing similar systems for this game. A map system like StS would massively expand the scope of the project (you'd need things like a money system, a broader story defined, mystery events, relics and items/potions, drawing all the assets/icons, environments, etc.), so I'm currently approaching the design of this through the question of "how can i add rogue-lite exploration to the game with less than 100 work hours?".
Charming game :) the art style is fun and complements the somewhat simple but effective gameplay. Built a winning team of Finn, Eira, Runa, and Floki (in that order)—exploiting range, root, and stun seems to be the winning strategy, especially if you can stack poison. The late game could be harder and melee units could be stronger, but otherwise, I really enjoyed it.
Would love to see more games with similar vibes and gameplay :)
Thanks form playing the game and providing some useful feedback :) I wasn't sure if the "stun, root and shoot from afar" play style would become a dominant strategy, and its beginning to look like it is, so I appreciate you reporting this and giving me something to work on.
Good game! Floki's Cheapshot+ is a little OP.
Thanks for playing :) Cheapshot+ being OP seems to be the consesus, so it'll be getting nerfed in the next release.
